I.R.E. was founded in 1994; starting with the manufacture of traditional cemented and enamelled wire wound resistors and shunts, it soon distinguished itself for the high quality of products, service and technical support offered to its customers. Shortly afterwards I.R.E. started investing in laboratory equipment in order to sustain a continuous process of Research & Development. This ability to grow and innovate made it possible to add to the catalogue metallic box and aluminium housed resistors, which have achieved success as braking resistors, combining high thermophysical features with an extremely competitive price. The continuous search of excellence has recently led I.R.E. to begin a research cooperation with the University of Pavia. Today I.R.E. has firmly established itself both in the national and international market, its reactive and very skilled staff can design and manufacture complex systems, with powers up to MWs, for customers which are more and more demanding about performances and safety standards.
